Believe it or not, I am sitting at nearly 70 items in my shop. It’s incredible. I had always hoped that my shop would fill out, I guess I just didn’t expect it to happen so quickly. The pictures you see here are a very, very small sampling of what I made this week. Considering I had like 48 items this time last week and now I’m at 69. My goal is to be at 100 items by the end of the month. And with a Holiday Weekend coming, I’m fairly confident that I can do it.
I also discovered the magic that is Instagram this week. I was very, very late to the Instagram party because 1.) I didn’t realize how much fun it is, and 2.) I wasn’t sure how I would use Instagram to promote my Etsy Business. Turns out just being myself is enough! I’ve never gained a following so quickly as I have with IG.
Anyway! Back on track. Here’s a few highlights of what’s new in the shop:
To The Bride and Groom on Your Wedding Day Card – It occurred to me that I didn’t have a single card for newlyweds and we’re on the brink of wedding season. Smooth move, Rita. So I spent some time brainstorming and came up with this one. I really love the fonts balance each other.
Nursing is a Work of Heart Card- I’ve had an idea for this card for a couple weeks now. But I wanted it to be right. Like I mentioned in a Instagram post, sometimes inspiration comes quickly, and sometimes it takes time and just needs to build. That’s exactly what happened for this card.
We Go Together Like Peanut Butter and Jelly Card – The plan is to round out this series with one more card and create a very cute set. I anticipate this set to be available in the shop by this weekend. We Go Together Like Milk and Cookies was also added this week, too, joining We Go Together Like Macaroni and Cheese.
Reboot, Rinse, Repeat Wall Art. And finally, a print inspired by my amazing husband who is an IT Professional. More often than not, telling his users to reboot their machines resolves the problems they experience. The problem is that they haven’t realized this. 😉 So I made this print just for him.
I’m also doing more design work for friends and family offline, which I’m very excited about. And I’m hoping to really push my availability for custom designs/work too! More than anything, I want to see my business be successful. And I feel like it’s heading in the right direction.
I’ve got a lot of big dreams and it’s really hard being patient. As Pamela Slim says in Escape from Cubicle Nation, I have to reset my mind to beginner and take my business one step at a time. I started reading that this weekend and it’s been phenomenal.
So that’s it for this week. I am greatly looking forward to seeing what this week has in store for my humble shop.
